If you don’t already know, or had your attention surreptitiously hijacked by all manner of other geeky news (seems like the news cycle within fandom never tires), then here’s your friendly reminder: […]
multiversalbeta
Let's see, where to begin.....I suppose an explanation of my blog title is as good a starting point as any. In short, I've always been fascinated by the idea of multiversal existence (or “quantum universes” as it’s also referred to as). The idea that there are an infinite number of universes with an infinite number of "Erics" living an infinite number of varying lives. Being all too human, I have made numerous mistakes - part of the evolutionary cycle of living, I know. Sometimes it almost feels like I'm the universe's beta version of myself, a trial run before the final product. Somewhere out there, in the vastness of time and space, is a version of me that got it all right. This is what happens when you're a lifelong fan of science fiction and film: your mind goes to some supremely unusual places. But quite simply I'm just a scribbler who enjoys sharing a word or two about the things I'm most passionate about in life. And if you've enjoyed my weirdness thus far, it is for you that I continue to share.

Free Comic Book Day 2016

Geek Culture Through The Eyes Of A Gen Xer: A Few Words On “The Future”
It’s a strange feeling to have lived through what most younglings refer to as “vintage” or “the original“. I was born in March of ’76, so I’ve lived through, and experienced, a […]

Comikaze Expo 2015: Stories from the Belly of the Sweaty and Un-showered Beast
And so passes another year of Stan’s Comikaze extravaganza; another year of a wonderfully comic-centric convention, celebrating the medium as opposed to the Hollywood movie-machine. I figured a week or two was […]
Nightbreed: The Director’s Cut
When Clive Barker’s Nightbreed was released in February of 1990, I was but a wee lad of 14 years. To say I was “innocent” would be to spin the truth into an […]
